MINDSPIRE’s migration methodology including templates, standards and principles related to migration conceptual design, logical and physical mapping, migration specific testing, documentation, reporting, error handling and cutover planning.

Project scope and targets

Bank decided to implement a centralised, unified party master solution (SAP BP module), and gradually reallocate customer data maintenance in it. As part of the implementation, existing client’s data from the operating core systems and some satellite applications has had to be migrated in SAP.


The whole migration scope had been split into phases, each of them focusing on selected source systems in synchrony with the functional development and enrichment of the party master solution.


Scope of Phase1 included the migration of customers from the main core system (Symbols) and from prospect customer maintenance system (TF).

Our main contribution

Conceptual design, including migration strategy creation and implementation roadmap preparation, as well as general support for process and operation model design of the party master.


Design and implementation of preliminary -, and process built-in data quality analysis. Error report generation for extensive cleansing of source data.


Logical, physical design (mapping) and execution of the automated migration transformation process by MINDSPIRE’s own migration tool (DELTA).


Supporting rollout planning and execution of live migration process during the master management system migration project.

Project organization and roles

MINDSPIRE played a key role in the implementation by providing experts, methodology and supporting tools for the migration team.


Migration project activity and resource planning was performed in cooperation with the PM (delegated by the bank).


MINDSPIRE took full delivery responsibility for data analysis, transformation and target data generation, and in close cooperation with the dedicated resources of the bank, also participated in supportive activities in conceptual design, data cleansing and test coordination.
